Its stems become woody over the course of a year. Small, oval, dark green leaves grow on them, and they have a strong fragrance. Thyme flowers are small and light pink. They grow in clusters or spikes at the tips of the stems. It thrives in the scorched, parched earth under the blazing sun. Where alpine meadows are interspersed with stones and rocks, where pasture gives way to rocky wilderness, where the heat reflects off the rocks—that is where it thrives. However, it can also endure the extreme cold of the mountains. It requires little from the soil and hardly any water, but all the more of the cosmic forces—light and warmth. Thyme carries the forces of warmth into the respiratory organs. Dry, fiery heat is conveyed to the body by this heat-loving member of the mint family. Thyme stirs up the breath. It is the herbal principle of fire.

To produce Alpmed products, fresh wild plants are carefully harvested by hand from select meadows and forests in the Bernese Alps and the unspoiled countryside of Tuscany. This, combined with immediate processing, ensures that the plant and solar energies of living nature are infused into the mother tinctures and fresh plant oils.

These individually wrapped wet wipes are unique in their design and use.
