The activated biochar it contains serves as a depot for nutrients, water and microorganisms in the soil. CarboVit therefore contributes to the long-term fertility of the soil.

Biochar has a positive effect on the soil structure. It protects nutrients and minerals from being washed out, stabilizes the pH value and prevents salinization of the soil. The microorganisms already contained in the charcoal promote the release of bound nutrients, making them immediately available to the plants. The biochar itself is broken down very slowly and therefore acts as a carbon sink. This means that carbon can be bound in the soil for a long time without being released back into the atmosphere as CO2.

Regular use of CarboVit creates an ever-growing layer of fertile soil, similar to Terra Preta.

Application:

Every year, work 50 to 250g CarboVit per m2 (depending on the humus content of the soil) evenly into the obfirst layer of soil before sowing/planting. If the soil is low in humus, it is advisable to apply a top dressing of 50g per m2 in August.

For potted plants, mix CarboVit into the entire substrate at a rate of up to 80g per 10 liters.

We recommend a combined application with a Andermatt Biogarten fertilizer appropriate to the crop.
