Does meal replacement help you lose weight?
The most important points in brief
- The advertisements suggest that meal replacements help shed excess pounds.
- Are these shakes really good for taking reliably and without going hungry?
- It is clear that the diet has to be changed because the consumption of meal replacements alone does not help.
In the past, a stately - not to say fat - appearance was considered the epitome of healthy, but above all wealthy people. But at the latest since it became known that a high body weight has significantly more disadvantages than advantages from a health point of view, people strive for a low percentage of fat and want to lose weight. But what helps? Is meal replacement an effective means?
Changing your diet should be the first step
Anyone who calls the pizza service several times a week or eats a little fast food (not to say junk food) during the lunch break so that they are full quickly should admit that they are not eating healthy enough. It doesn't help much to eat an apple or a few nuts in between. Sure, a little sin is allowed every now and then, but the basic orientation should be aimed at the lowest possible fat and calories.
It starts with the simple things. If you get hungry in between: does it have to be the croissant from the baker? Or wouldn't a banana also help? Do I also need butter on my bread in the evening when there is Bündnerfleisch and Appenzeller? And does it have to be cream cake if I want to treat myself to something, or would fruit cake also be an option? It is not about completely doing without, but about the awareness of what nutrition actually means.
But how does meal replacement help you lose weight?
So: Meal replacement, as it is also available in the Kanela online shop, is more than just an empty promise when it comes to losing weight. However, anyone who thinks that this is a magic drug that allows us to continue to eat unconsciously or unhealthily is mistaken. Losing weight is hard work, the limping comparison is permitted, which is about doing without.
Meal replacements, mostly taken in the form of shakes, however, help ensure that the body is supplied with the essential nutrients during the diet. The shakes contain minerals and vitamins, but also carbohydrates and valuable proteins, without which it would not work. Often the feeling of hunger after taking a shake is suppressed, and that is exactly the goal: Meal replacement literally means that such a shake completely replaces a meal.
Meal replacement is not only useful for dieting
Anyone who is basically satisfied with their weight and diet can still benefit from the shakes - for example, when fitness and sport play an important role. Those who workout usually get ravenous. However, this can be satisfied if you take a meal replacement that provides the body with the nutrients mentioned.
Because these nutrients can be absorbed and used by the body more quickly through shakes than with a solid meal, meal replacements are also recommended for everyday use. As an alternative to a quick, high-fat lunch, the organism is not overburdened with a shake. So it works much better after the lunch break.
