What methods of hair removal for men are there?
The most important things in brief
- Your hair is beautiful - a dictum that certainly does not apply to all male body parts. Even if that's a matter of taste.
- Any man who wants to remove hair from certain parts of the body is often faced with the question of the right method.
- In some areas of the body this is fairly easy, in others it is quite complicated.
- On this page we will show you which special features you should pay attention to when removing hair.
If you want to be beautiful, you have to suffer - a sentence that is often quoted, but is it true? Especially since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as another truism says. Half of the men like it rather hairy in terms of beard and private parts, and the other half clean-shaven. For this second half, the question arises as to which methods of hair removal are available for men: It depends entirely on the respective body region.
It can be painful in the intimate area
The fact that hair removal in the intimate area with certain methods - for example Brazilian waxing - can cause quite a bit of pain should come as no surprise. So if you want to remove your pubic hair, you can save yourself this pain by shaving.
Well, pubic hair tends to be a bit longer, so getting hold of an electric hair trimmer is a good idea. Once you've trimmed the hair with it, you can use a wet razor to remove it completely and with due care. Use the same method under the armpits or on the chest.
Hair removal on the legs
Leg waxing can also be quite excruciating - which doesn't stop many women from using this method. And men? Of course, they can also get involved in this approach, but on the other hand, men are in most cases a bit more self-pitying than women, so there is no avoiding it. So trimming the leg hair and then wet shaving is also recommended here.
But why are shaved legs so popular with many men? This is often related to the sports that are practiced, such as swimming, fitness or cycling. Smooth legs have the advantage of being easier to maintain, such as with moisturizers or sunscreen. The treatment of wounds - for example after falls in a bicycle race - is also easier and less painful with clean-shaven legs.
The removal of hair on the back and shoulders
While some of the women prefer lush male facial hair, hair on the shoulders and back almost never goes down well. That is why many men are interested in hair removal in these areas of the body. With a shave, see above, this works easiest if you get help - many areas are simply unreachable when you try them on yourself. But the hair grows back quickly, which is why waxing removes the hair for about a month. However, the hair length must be at least 0.5 centimeters, and this method is not entirely painless.
Those who suffer from massive back and shoulder hair have two other options: the IPL method with light pulses or laser treatment. There are similar devices for at home, but they are not cheap - and you have to use them several times until the hair is completely removed. However, there are cosmetic studios that also offer this service.
