Sure, with many people constant optimism is admirable, some seem to easily cope with severe strokes of fate. But we all have to mourn from time to time - but there is a few pieces of advice that may help.
Everyone grieves differently
One thing is certain: everyone grieves differently. Therefore, these tips may not be of great value to you at the moment; you may have a different way of dealing with sad experiences. What is certain is that the grief is there so that feelings can be better processed. The grief has to come out, tears are an outlet for the state of mind, quite a few also claim: an outlet for the soul.
Maybe writing will help you? If you feel like you need to take notes to better understand or get through your grief, write down what's on your mind, no matter where or how. You can take a small notebook and a ballpoint pen with you wherever you go.
Going out and realizing dreams can help with sadness
It sounds very banal and you don't always feel like it: A short (or even long) walk in the fresh air will give you new ideas. And maybe you will see some things in a different light. The basic sadness will probably not go away, but you may be able to cope with acute sadness. If possible, also do sport, because happiness hormones are released, which will definitely brighten your mood.
It is also conceivable that one can cope with grief by fulfilling a long-cherished dream. Perhaps you've always wanted to take a city trip to Rome or a sailing trip off the Croatian coast? Now is the right time to implement these longings. The planning of this adventure alone is guaranteed to tear you out of your sadness - and the trip itself even more.
Don't be alone too often
Yes, one mostly or often mourns alone. And that's okay too, after all, you have something to process. In the long run, however, isolation does not lead to an improvement. Allow company from time to time; You have to decide for yourself whether they are family members or good friends. Go to the cinema or a restaurant together. Even an evening together in front of the TV with sweets, popcorn and chips should be good for you.
And when you are alone and saddened by you, music may help you cope. Put together a playlist of your favorite songs and listen to them up and down. And if you are musical yourself, then grab your instrument and use it to express your feelings. Or maybe you just compose a song that will become your very own personal hit.
Hormone-related sadness
In women, especially during PMS (premenstrual syndrome), sadness, depressive moods or listlessness can occur more often due to the hormones. In addition to the tips above, herbal remedies such as monk's pepper can also help, or sufficient calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin B6 can have a positive effect on PMS.
