When should you take a measurement with the control solution?

Application

• Insert a Contour sensor with the gray electrode side all the way into your Contour meter. The meter will perform a short self-test and then prompt you with an icon (sensor and flashing blood drop) to take a measurement.
• Gently swirl the vial of Contour control solution before opening to ensure that the control solution is thoroughly mixed.
• Open the vial of Contour control solution and print a small drop onto a non-absorbent surface. The Farbe of the control solution is pr oblemless and can be washed off without leaving any residue.
• Hold the measuring port of the sensor to the drop of Contour control solution. The control solution is automatically aspirated into the Contour sensor. With the Signaltone, the 5-second measuring time begins to elapse.
• The measurement result is displayed.
• Compare the measurement result with the target range, which is written on the side of the Contour sensor can under the expiration date.
• Use a new drop of control solution for each measurement.
