The germ-reducing cotton wool consists of calcium alginate fibers, a purely vegetable product that is obtained from certain algae. In the case of nosebleeds, simply insert the cotton wool into the affected nostril and apply pressure to the stuffed nostril with your finger for 5 minutes. When the bleeding has stopped, you can remove the cotton wool.
