Chufas is the tuber of Cyperus esculentes, belonging to the Familieu of Cyperacae. These are grown in sunny regions of the world (Mediterranean, Africa, America, Asia). The tubers, which grow underground, taste similar to hazelnuts or almonds and are therefore mistakenly called tiger nuts. The naturally sweet tiger nuts from the Cyperus esculentes variety are finely flaked without additives by a special alverprocess. Many attempts to increase dietary fiber intake have so far failed mainly due to the taste quality of the available foods (wheat bran, flaxseed, psyllium, pectins, etc.). CHUFAS-Nüssli is now a high-quality dietary fiber that meets all requirements, is excellently suited for supplementary nutrition in the form of muesli and, above all, has an excellent taste quality that is generally well accepted.

The insoluble dietary fibers ensure regular digestion and good satiety, while the soluble ones have a positive effect on cholesterol balance. Due to our unique Spezi alverprocess, the polyunsaturated fatty acids and the rare vitamins H (biotin) and P (rutin) are almost completely preserved. Application

Use Chufas-Nüssli in muesli, with fruits or fruit, with yogurt, raw vegetables, for cooking and baking, rice casserole etc. or enjoy Chufas-Nüssli pure with sufficient liquid. For baked goods with Chufas-Nüssli, please note an increased addition of liquid when preparing the dough.
