Psyllium seeds are natural, vegetable dietary fiber. The seeds have a rather neutral taste and can therefore be added well to muesli but also to all other dishes, whole or ground. They can be used as a substitute for flaxseed. The seeds contain a mucilage layer and are a natural swelling agent - so enough water should be added. The yellow psyllium has a slightly higher swelling capacity compared to the black one. It is also used in the production of psyllium wine.

Application

Sprinkle some psyllium (up to 15g daily) over food. Make sure that you drink enough liquid.
