ADVANCIS Activon Tube Manuka-Buy Honey (12x20g)

The Activon tube contains 100 % pure medicinal honey Manuka-Honey without additives and is ideal for the debridement of necrotic tissue. It can be combined pr oblelessly with a wound dressing if the honey content is washed out by heavy exudation and is also ideal for wound cavities. Any honey residue can simply be rinsed out with saline solution. Initially, there may be increased exudate formation, but this effect is temporary and decreases over time.

Depending on the type of wound and the amount of exudate, a film or absorbent dressing is recommended as a secondary dressing. Activon Tube is particularly suitable for use on infected or necrotic wounds, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, surgical or diabetic wounds, burns, skin removal sites and malodorous wounds. The tube offers a natural, gentle approach to wound care and effectively supports the healing process.

Application:

1. Clean the wound thoroughly.
2. Dry surrounding tissue.
3. Ensure that the sterile tube is unopened and intact before first use.
4. Twist off the cap.
5. Apply the honey generously to the wound bed (surface and cavities).
6. Cover the wound with a suitable secondary dressing.
7. The tube may only be used for one patient at a time and has a shelf life of 90 days after opening.
