Following an acute injury, AirLoc, when used in combination with a shoe, stabilizes the ankle joint and protects it from twisting again. Two anatomically shaped, padded plastic shells are elastically connected below the heel, allowing the orthosis to adapt perfectly to the width of the foot. An inflatable air cushion in the outer shell allows the AirLoc’s fit to be individually adjusted to the current level of swelling when it is applied.
