The larch sheds its needles—which have turned a brilliant gold, quite uncharacteristic for a conifer—as winter approaches. The following spring, grass begins to grow on the larch, which can reach heights of up to 50 meters. These are sturdy, light-green needles that grow very softly in brush-like tufts along the branches and never become as hard as those of their coniferous relatives. This invigorating power of spring within the wood allows our senses to relax and recover from the winter. Usage:
