The Drosal Pro trap is used for early monitoring of infestations and for mass trapping of the spotted wing drosophila (Drosophila suzukii), an invasive pest that attacks intact, ripening, and ripe fruit. Soft crops such as berries, cherries, plums, grapes, and wild fruit are particularly affected. Thanks to the new, more stable attractant formulation, significantly more flies can be attracted and safely trapped. The compact trap can be refilled continuously and enables reliable monitoring to detect initial infestation sites in good time and take appropriate measures.

Hanging several traps (3–5 per plant) enables effective mass trapping. The traps are filled with at least 1 dl of bait solution and placed in shady locations at a height of approximately 1 m. At least one trap should be used per crop or per 10 m². The fill level should be checked regularly, and the attractant should be replaced after approximately 10 days. The set contains five traps and 1 litre of attractant, sufficient for ten applications. The Drosal Pro trap is suitable for strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, grapevines, and wild hedges with berry plants.
