Andermatt Biogarten Insect module red mason bees (1 pc) buy

Wildbees and solitary wasps make a significant contribution to the pollination of numerous flowering plants and thus secure a large proportion of our fresh food. As their natural habitats, suitable nesting opportunities and sufficiently diverse food sources are increasingly dwindling, their promotion is becoming more and more important. By hanging up insect modules, you create a valuable retreat and habitat for these tireless beneficial insects and support them even in very small areas. Wildbees live mainly solitary lives, are extremely peaceful and completely harmless to humans.

Installation is recommended from May rz to May so that the tubes can be reliably colonized. The hexagonal module is attached using the enclosed screw and a metal plate and can therefore flexibe mounted on almost any wall. A dry, sunny and wind-protected location facing south-east, about 50 cm above the ground, offers optimum conditions. Older tubes can be replaced in winter; however, sealed tubes should be retained as they are inhabited and produce young Wildbees the following spring. The inhabited tubes can simply be reinserted into the module. The outside of the module is treated with linseed oil for additional protection and a longer lifespan.
