Background on Bach flowers

Bach flower essences originated with the Englishman Edward Bach. He assigned an essence to each of the negative emotional states he postulated, which he believed were responsible for all suffering and illness. This essence is intended to promote the harmonization of the emotional state. Traditionally, the numbered essences have English names and are assigned to various areas of application.

Today, the individual flowers are still collected at the locations in England originally designated by Bach and ritually processed according to the potentization methods he described.

Usage

• Glass of water (short-term): Add two drops of the selected essence to a glass of water and drink in small sips; repeat as needed.
• Mixture (longer-term): Select a maximum of seven essences. Add two drops of each selected essence to a 30 ml mixing bottle. Fill the bottle with still mineral water and approximately one teaspoon of fruit vinegar or alcohol, such as brandy, for natural preservation. Take four drops of this mixture at least four times a day. Overdosing is not possible. When refrigerated, the mixture generally keeps for three weeks.
