Biatain Alginate Ag can be used on all moderate- to heavily exuding wounds ranging from partial- to full-thickness, particularly for leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, split-skin graft sites, traumatic wounds, and second-degree burns. Biatain Alginate Ag can be used on infected wounds and wounds at risk of infection.

Biatain Alginate Ag is an alginate dressing composed of calcium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and a silver ion complex. Biatain Alginate Ag should not be used on dry or slightly exuding wounds, nor should it be used to control severe bleeding.
