Biatain Silicone with 3DFit technology conforms to the wound bed and reduces the accumulation of exudate to create optimal conditions for healing. Biatain Silicone can be used to treat a wide range of exuding wounds and is therefore an optimal solution for moist wound healing. Biatain Silicone is a soft, conformable polyurethane foam dressing with a semipermeable, bacteria- and water-repellent outer film, an absorbent layer, and a soft silicone coating.
Use
Biatain Silicone can be used for a wide range of weeping chronic wounds, particularly leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infected diabetic foot syndrome, split-thickness skin graft donor sites, postoperative wounds, and traumatic wounds (e.g. skin abrasions, tears, or cuts). The dressing can be used in combination with compression therapy and can remain in place for up to seven days.
