The Bort Generation thumb-hand orthosis is a wrist orthosis that additionally immobilises the thumb base and thumb saddle joint.

Indication according to the manufacturer: pre-operative, post-traumatic and post-operative use, for example after thumb ligament reconstruction, for immobilisation in inflammatory-rheumatic conditions (for example rhizarthrosis) and in degenerative conditions (for example carpal tunnel syndrome, CTS). Contraindications according to the instructions for use include, among others, circulatory and lymphatic drainage disorders, sensory disturbances and skin diseases in the treated area.
