The Bort Peroneal Splint is an orthosis that holds the foot in its functional position in case of foot drop. It is a lightweight plastic splint that can also be worn inside a shoe.

Effect and use

According to the manufacturer, intended for: flaccid paralysis of the foot-lifting muscles, for example in peroneal nerve paresis, lumbar nerve root damage, polio or after a stroke.

How to use

Wear over a sock or stocking, never on bare skin and only together with a shoe. Place the splint inside the shoe and put both on together, closing the strap on the lower leg without creating pressure points. After wearing, check foot and calf for redness.
