Turmeric, also known as yellow ginger or saffron root, originates from South Asia. The yellow rhizome has traditionally been used there. When dried and ground, it is added to curry and gives it its characteristic colour. In addition to its mildly spicy flavour and versatile use in the kitchen, its active ingredients are also a focus of nutrition experts—so-called curcumins. The essential oils of the turmeric root are also of interest.

What makes Chrisana Turmeric Optimum so special?

Our innovative turmeric product contains two different extracts in one container:

• The dry extract capsules contain the valuable, water-soluble components of the turmeric root. We use the well-known Curcumin C3 Complex here. It is one of the most scientifically studied turmeric raw materials and has a 65-fold higher concentration of active substances. Thus, the curcuminoid content of a single capsule corresponds to approximately 29 g of fresh turmeric root. The 450 mg of curcuminoids per capsule are composed as follows: 360 mg curcumin, 77 mg demethoxycurcumin and 14 mg bisdemethoxycurcumin.
• In addition to coconut oil, the oil extract capsules contain the oily components of the turmeric root, obtained through gentle extraction using natural source carbonic acid. One capsule contains 210 mg of essential oils consisting of alpha-, ar- and beta-turmerones.

Taking the capsules together increases the bioavailability of the curcuminoids. We guarantee 100% natural raw materials processed without any additives. For this combination product, we do not add the natural absorption enhancer Bioperine, a pepper extract that can irritate the intestinal mucosa. This makes Turmeric Optimum particularly suitable for people with sensitive intestines.
