Comfeel® Plus hydrocolloid dressings maintain a moist wound healing environment and protect the wound during the final stages of healing. The outer film is water- and bacteria-repellent to protect the wound from external influences, and smooth to reduce friction. The semipermeable outer film allows moisture to evaporate while maintaining a moist wound healing environment.

Application

Comfeel® Plus hydrocolloid dressing is indicated for a wide range of wounds with minimal to moderate exudate. The wound dressings are indicated for chronic wounds, such as leg ulcers and pressure ulcers, as well as acute wounds, such as superficial burns, superficial second-degree burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds, and skin abrasions. Depending on the specific characteristics of the wound, the dressing can be worn for up to 7 days. Comfeel® Plus can be used as a primary or secondary dressing. When the dressing comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a viscous gel that absorbs the exudate but does not adhere to the wound bed (1). Excess moisture evaporates through the semipermeable outer film.
