The Dermpaplast Active Rhizo Pro thumb splint is made of foam and covered with an elastic fabric that ensures enhanced comfort. It is reinforced with two pre-shaped, adjustable support bars. The special design (created using 3D molding) provides optimal support for the thumb and wrist. The stretchy outer cover makes it easy to put on with just one hand. The closure system uses Velcro straps.

Indications:

• Ligament Injuries to the Thumb
• Acute or chronic inflammation of the carpal or metacarpal joint of the thumb (rhizarthrosis)
• Tendon and Tendon Sheath Inflammation in the Thumb and Wrist
• Postoperative Immobilization of the Wrist and Thumb

Usage:

• Measure the circumference of the wrist. If necessary, reshape the support bar to fit the palm; then adjust the thumb support bar according to the indication and desired effect. Temporarily apply the splint, tightening the Velcro straps as you do so. Then secure it permanently by tightening the Velcro straps firmly, yet still comfortably for the patient.
