Nasal irrigation—just as important as brushing your teeth. Just as you brush your teeth every day, you should also irrigate your nose once or twice a day during times of increased risk of infection or stress: For nasal care, to help prevent colds, as quick relief from allergies, or simply to clear your nose of daily irritants.

Nasal Rinsing for a Cold

• As soon as your nose starts to tingle and you feel a cold coming on, nasal rinses can often help prevent the cold from getting worse.
• That's because natural Emser salt supports the nasal mucosa's self-cleaning function and actively helps loosen mucus. This means colds and other ailments don't stand much of a chance.
• If you do happen to catch a cold, nasal rinses quickly and gently clear your nose and support the healing process.

Nasal rinses are especially recommended here

• Preventing Colds
• Acute colds (runny nose)
• Chronic inflammation of the nose and sinuses
• Pollen and House Dust Allergies
• dry nose
• Heavy dust and dirt buildup
• Prone to snoring due to catarrhal conditions
• Accelerating the Healing Process After Endonasal Surgery

Application

• Fold out the nose piece so that it is horizontal. Then fill the nasal irrigator with lukewarm water up to the mark (250 ml).
• The amount of salt contained in a single-use packet produces an isotonic solution when added to the Emser Nasanita nasal douche (250 ml of water). This is the only way to ensure accurate dosing and, therefore, safe and comfortable use.
• Pour in the Emser salt, close the lid, and dissolve the salt by swirling the bottle. Use your index finger to close the lid valve, then flip the nasal tip up as far as it will go, place the nasal tip against one nostril, and lift your index finger. The liquid flows into one nostril, rinses the nose, and flows back out through the other nostril.
