Usage:

With the temperature method, you must use a basal body temperature thermometer to measure your basal body temperature each morning before getting out of bed. The measured value is recorded in a chart. Over the course of the cycle, this creates a temperature curve from which you can identify your fertile and infertile days.
During the first half of the cycle, the temperature remains low. Immediately before ovulation, it may drop slightly even further for a short time. In the second half of the cycle, under the influence of progesterone, there is a rise in temperature of at least 0.2°C to 0.5°C. This temperature rise persists until just before the next menstrual period, at which point it drops again by about 0.2°C to 0.5°C.
