Gel-forming fiber dressing with Hydrolock technology, featuring advanced lock-in properties to retain fluid for moderately to heavily exuding wounds and wound cavities. Unlike conventional gel-forming fibers, Exufiber is a PVA nonwoven dressing. It transforms into a gel on contact with exudate, allowing it to conform gently to the wound bed. Exufiber can be used to treat a wide variety of moderately to heavily exuding wounds, including wound cavities. Exufiber dressings with Hydrolock technology efficiently transport exudate from the wound bed into the secondary dressing. The exudate is retained to prevent leakage and reduce the risk of maceration. Thanks to Hydrolock technology, Exufiber remains intact when wet without requiring additional reinforcement, allowing it to be easily removed in one piece during dressing changes. Exufiber dressings support a clean wound bed during dressing removal through their superior lock-in capacity, their ability to remain intact without leaving residue in the wound bed, and by promoting autolytic debridement. Exufiber can be used in combination with Mepilex Border Flex, a unique combination of Flex technology and Safetac.
