Would you like to prepare for winter and prevent colds early on? HALIBUT classic is made from cod liver oil. One capsule provides the daily recommended intake of vitamins A and D. This makes HALIBUT classic the ideal winter preventive measure.

During cold season, pathogens—most of which enter the body through the nose—encounter dry mucous membranes and can thus gain access to the immune system. Vitamin A supports the health and proper functioning of the mucous membranes. It ensures adequate moisture, allowing pathogens to be cleared from the nose by mucus and cilia. However, the human body cannot produce vitamin A on its own.

The body can only produce vitamin D when the skin is exposed to sufficient sunlight each day. During the sun-deprived months of September through March, this is often not possible to the necessary extent. However, vitamin D is essential for winter prevention. A large U.S. study from 2009 shows that the risk of catching a cold is up to 41% higher when vitamin D levels are low.[1] Therefore, vitamins A and D must be obtained through diet. One HALIBUT classic capsule meets the daily requirement.
