HERA Menstrual Sponge, Set of 3, Size M

The HERA menstrual sponge is a natural alternative to tampons and menstrual cups. The natural sponge comes from the sea, is plastic-free, and is harvested by hand and gently processed, entirely without bleach or chemicals. It absorbs only the blood without drying out the vaginal flora, which many women find significantly more comfortable than conventional products.

The set of 3 contains three sponges with a firmly attached retrieval cord made of medical-grade silicone. This makes the sponge just as easy to remove as a tampon.

Size M, for light days

Diameter approx. 5 to 6.5 cm per sponge, absorbency approx. 15 to 25 ml. Reusable for 4 to 5 cycles with moderate bleeding.

If needed, the sponge can be trimmed or worn in pairs on heavier days.

Instructions for use

Before first use and before and after your period, soak the sponges for around 20 minutes in warm water with a cleaning tablet, then rinse them thoroughly. To insert the sponge, moisten it, gently compress it, and insert it like a tampon. It can be worn for up to eight hours. To change it while out and about, simply pull gently on the retrieval cord.

Reusable and sustainable

Depending on the amount of bleeding, a sponge can be reused for several months; for hygienic reasons, replacement is recommended after six cycles at the latest. It is compostable thereafter.
