Colors tend to fade with washing and wear. Breathe new life into your favorite wool sweater, silk scarf, or any other garment made of wool, silk, or nylon (polyamide)—or simply change the color—with IDEAL 38 Fuchsia fabric dye.

Usage:

• Cut open the top of the bag (or bags) widthwise and pour the contents into a bowl containing 1 liter of boiling water. Mix well until everything is completely dissolved. Pour the contents of the bowl into a heat-resistant container and add 7 to 10 liters of cold water.
• Add 250 ml of white vinegar, regardless of the number of bags.
• Wet the fabrics with cold water and gently submerge them in the dye bath.
• While stirring constantly, slowly heat to a boil and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Turn off the stove.
• While the dye bath cools slowly, stir it occasionally until the water is lukewarm (about 30°C).
• Rinse the fabrics in lukewarm water until the water runs clear.
• Add 6 tablespoons of white vinegar to the final rinse cycle (for wool and silk).
• Gently wring out the wool and silk in a cloth.
• Let it dry in the shade. Let the wool dry flat.
• Clean the container with cleaning solution and, if necessary, diluted bleach

TIP:

Wool and silk don't shrink at high temperatures, but rather due to thermal shock (a very rapid change from cold to hot water or vice versa)!
