For disinfecting swimming pool and hot tub water without chlorine.
- Dissolves slowly and without residue; can be used regardless of water hardness.
- 20 g tablets
- Contains at least 96% bromochloro-dimethylhydantoin
Dosage
- Continuous operation: add enough to ensure that at least 2.0 mg/l of free bromine can be detected at the pool outlet.
- Depending on the quantity and type of bromine-consuming factors, 3–4 20 g tablets per 10 m³ of pool water are sufficient for approximately 5–10 days.
- Recommendation for outdoor pools: perform a chlorine shock treatment with SUPER C or PULIT Gran every 14 days.
- Recommendation for indoor pools: perform a shock treatment once a month with SUPER C or PULIT Granulate, or use OXYPUR tablets for “superoxidation” = 1 tablet/10,000 litres/month. This reactivates bound bromine into free bromine, thereby achieving better utilization.
- Recommendation for hot tubs: 1 tablet per 1,000 litres in a floating dispenser or skimmer basket. Redose when the bromine level is below 2.0 mg/l.
Application
- Application: Ideally use a bromine feeder. Adding the tablets via a tablet dissolver can only be a temporary solution due to the very slow dissolution rate.
- Use Pooltester Brom 8Article 8110) to measure the bromine level.
- Conventional chlorine-testing devices can also be used; the displayed reading must be multiplied by 2.
- Important: Never throw the tablet directly into the pool! Risk of bleaching!
Notes
- The dissolution rate of bromine tablets in a bromine feeder depends on the water flow and temperature. The dosage must be adjusted individually for each pool.
- In pools with plastic liners or painted surfaces, solid product must not come into direct contact with the walls or floor, as it may cause discoloration.
