Normal tampons made from GOTS-certified organic cotton with a smooth, easy-glide cardboard insertion aid that is completely biodegradable. Simply twist the two parts of the applicator in the opposite direction and press tgto release the tampon. The Natracare applicator has a rounded tip that makes insertion easier.

Many tampon insertion aids are made from petroleum-based or plant-based plastics. Both types are non-biodegradable and may contribute to global plastic pollution. Equally concerning is that these plastics may contain hormone-disrupting phthalates or unsuitable plastic additives that can be absorbed through the skin.

There are tampons made from viscose blends and even some that claim to be organic and are wrapped in a plastic veil to prevent Faseeds from separating from the inner core during use. They may also contain fragrances, lubricants or Fatanning agents that are completely unnecessary for managing your period.

For this reason, we only use 100% organic cotton. We never use genetically modified cotton or unnecessary plastic to keep pesticide residues, plastic and chemicals of concern away from your vagina.
