Apple pectin is the ideal food source for Bacteroidetes—the bacteria that help eliminate sugar from the body. When Bacteroidetes have sufficient apple pectin available, they multiply and establish a long-term presence in our bodies.

By introducing viable symbionts (= probiotics), the “good” gut bacteria receive a boost.
