In addition to its roles in nutrient absorption and the elimination of undigested waste, our gut plays a vital role in our immune system. About 80% of our immune cells are located in our gut. A lifelong and intense symbiotic relationship exists between our body and the bacteria living there. However, this relationship can be negatively affected by poor diet, chronic stress, lack of sleep, or the use of medications. As a result, the natural balance in the population of “good” and “bad” gut bacteria is disrupted; our gut barrier—the intestinal mucosa—becomes permeable to toxins, allergens, and foreign pathogens—weakening our immune defenses.

Certain gut bacteria—namely bifidobacteria and lactobacilli—produce, among other things, butyrate (butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid) in the large intestine, which serves as the main source of energy for our intestinal epithelium. When this epithelium is well-nourished, it can perform its various functions, which include the targeted absorption of nutrients and the defense against toxins and pathogens. If butyrate levels drop, however, changes occur in the intestinal mucosa—our intestinal barrier is weakened.

How does Omni Logic Immun work?

Omni Logic Immun provides valuable dietary fiber as a food source for important bifidobacteria and lactobacilli—namely, resistant starch and acacia fiber extract—as well as essential vitamins, minerals, and trace elements to help maintain the normal function of the immune system.

Resistant starch stimulates fermentation, thereby causing:

• The proliferation of important bifidobacteria and lactobacilli
• The production of short-chain fatty acids (such as butyrate) for increased energy
• An increase in biomass (fecal volume) = improved transit

Recommended intake:

Stir 5 g (5 g = 1 level measuring spoon) into 0.2 l of water, juice, etc., 3 times a day, and drink immediately (no activation time is required).
