OSTENIL rz bessis a viscoelastic solution for injection into the joint space and is used to relieve pain and obility in osteoarthritis of the knee and other large synovial joints such as the hip and shoulder. The purpose of hyaluronic acid injections is to increase the hyaluronic acid content in the joint, which is normally reduced in osteoarthritis. OSTENIL OSTENIL PLUS and OSTENIL MINI correspond 100% to the structure of human hyaluronic acid.
Application
OSTENIL Inject PLUS 1-3 times in total at weekly intervals into the diseased joint. Several joints can be treated at the same time. Repeated treatment cycles are possible if required. If a joint effusion is present, the effusion should be treated first. As long as the sterile packaging has not been opened, the contents and surface of the OSTENIL PLUS prefilled syringe are sterile. The prefilled syringe is removed from the sterile packaging, the cap is unscrewed from the Luer lock connection, a suitable cannula (e.g. 18 to 25 G) is attached and locked in place by turning it slightly. Before the injection, any air bubble is removed from the syringe.
