Otovent is a medical device for equalizing pressure in the middle ear. A special balloon is inflated using the nose via a nosepiece, which opens the Eustachian tube and equalizes the pressure on the eardrum. It is used for negative pressure in the middle ear, for example with middle ear effusion, as well as when flying or diving.

Application

Attach the balloon to the nosepiece, hold the nosepiece against one nostril and close the other. Inflate the balloon through the nose until it is the size of a grapefruit, then repeat with the other nostril. Frequency and duration according to the instructions for use.
