In 1952, Robert Barth was experimenting in Stäfa, Zurich, with a drink that was meant to be different from everything else, and the first Rivella was created. However, the Rivella taste does not come from the milk serum it contains, but from the blend of natural fruit and herb extracts that has remained unchanged since then. Today, the company is based in Rothrist in the canton of Aargau and, alongside the well-known Rivella, also launches all Michel products as well as the refreshing Passaia. Rivella AG consistently supports sporting initiatives and thus promotes an active and healthy lifestyle.
