Samen Mauser Flower Sprouts Autumn Star Seeds (20 seeds)

Flower Sprouts Autumn Star are an exceptional vegetable speciality created by crossing Brussels sprouts and kale. The decorative, frilly florets with their purple leaf veins grow similarly to Brussels sprouts and impress with a delicate, slightly nutty flavour. This innovative brassica is ideal for steaming, sautéing, boiling or blanching and is ready to eat after just a few minutes.

Sow from February to March in a cold frame or seed trays; outdoors, sowing is possible from the end of March to mid-June. Plant strong seedlings from April at a spacing of 40x50cm. For healthy growth, incorporate vegetable fertiliser before planting and again after the plants have established. Intercropping with tomatoes or celery can help keep cabbage white butterflies away. Early sowings should be pricked out to 5x5cm after about two weeks.
