Mauser Seeds Carrot Farba (5g)

Samen Mauser Farba Carrot (5g)

Farba carrot is a particularly high-yielding variety with an intense red colour and is ideal for autumn cultivation and storage. The uniformly shaped roots are impressive not only for their striking colour but also for their pleasantly sweet flavour. Thanks to their good storage capacity, the harvest stays fresh for a long time and is versatile for raw food, vegetable dishes or storing for later use.

Sow directly outdoors with a row spacing of 30cm. Water after sowing and cover the seeds with approximately 2cm of soil. Covering with fleece supports germination and promotes even plant development. For storage carrots, sowing in the first half of May is recommended. Once the seedlings have emerged, thin the carrots to a spacing of 5cm. Incorporating a complete fertiliser after sowing and thinning supports vigorous growth. Intercropping with onions or leeks can also help reduce damage caused by carrot fly.
