Mauser Blaro Kohlrabi Seeds (1g)

The “Blaro” kohlrabi is a proven, old variety that remains tender and tasty for a particularly long time. Even when sown early, it is hardly prone to bolting and does not flower prematurely, even under favorable conditions. This extends the harvest period while the juicy bulbs retain their mild flavor and fine texture. Sow in seed trays or a forcing bed; from May, it can also be sown directly outdoors. Germination takes 6-10 days at a temperature of 16-26°C.

This robust kohlrabi variety thrives both outdoors and in a forcing bed and reliably develops uniform bulbs. Transplant strong seedlings from mid-May at a spacing of 30x30cm. Early sowings should initially be pricked out into 8cm pots. For healthy growth, it is recommended to incorporate vegetable fertilizer before planting and again after the plants have established. Kohlrabi is excellent for fresh consumption, as a raw vegetable, or in numerous hot dishes.
