Mauser Leek Seeds Du Bouchet 2 (2.5g)
The “Du Bouchet 2” leek is a proven autumn variety with a long, sturdy shaft and is ideal for later harvesting. The variety can be stored in a cellar and, in mild regions, can also overwinter outdoors without any problems. This provides a reliable supply of fresh leeks over a long period. Sow in a hotbed or directly outdoors from April. Germination takes 10–20 days at 12–18°C.
After growing on, plant the sturdy seedlings outdoors at a spacing of 15x20cm. For healthy development, apply some complete fertiliser or compost before planting and again after the plants have established. Intercropping with carrots or using crop protection nets can help keep leek moths away. With its long shaft and good winter hardiness, “Du Bouchet 2” is a versatile variety for the home garden.
