Samen Mauser Pepito F1 Melon Seeds (10 pcs)

The “Pepito F1” melon is a high-yielding cantaloupe variety with decorative, rugby-shaped fruits weighing 1.2–1.4kg. The deep orange flesh has an excellent flavour with a pleasantly sweet note. The attractive skin, with its fine netting and light green longitudinal stripes, also makes this melon visually distinctive. The variety also shows good tolerance to overripening and is resistant to Fusarium and powdery mildew. Sow in pots or directly outdoors or in a cold frame from mid to late May. Germination takes 6–10 days at 20–28°C.

The heat-loving “Pepito F1” melon prefers a sheltered, warm location outdoors, in a cold frame, or in a tunnel. Plant out from mid-May at a spacing of 50x50cm. Before planting, incorporate some vegetable fertiliser to support vigorous growth and a high yield. Covering the soil with black plastic mulch ensures earlier yields and clean fruit. With its combination of excellent flavour, decorative appearance, and good plant health, this variety is ideal for the home garden.
