Mauser Seeds Lamb’s Lettuce Duplex (5g)

Mauser's Duplex Lamb's Lettuce Seeds (5g)

“Duplex” lamb’s lettuce is a frost-hardy variety that can be grown and harvested almost all year round. Its smooth, dark green leaves have a delicate flavor and are ideal for fresh salads and a wide range of dishes. Thanks to its robustness, this lettuce provides a reliable harvest over many months. Sowing takes place from April to early September, depending on the desired harvest time. For a summer harvest, sow from April; for an autumn harvest, in August; and for a winter and spring harvest, in a tunnel or cold frame from mid-August to early September. Germination takes 7–20 days at 5–18°C.

Sow in rows 15 cm apart, covering the seeds only lightly with soil. At higher temperatures, keep the seeds moist and shaded until germination to promote even development. It can be grown outdoors, in a tunnel, or in a cold frame. With its frost hardiness and long growing season, “Duplex” lamb’s lettuce is an ideal variety for fresh salad from your own garden.
