Pak choi, also known as Chinese mustard cabbage, is a fast-growing cabbage vegetable with tender leaves and crisp stems. Sow directly in lightly fertilized soil from July to mid-August. After germination, thin or transplant the seedlings and space them 25x30cm apart. As a fast-growing crop, pak choi is ideal as a follow-up crop and can make efficient use of vacant garden beds. With regular watering, the plants develop strongly and remain tender.
