Mauser Bell Pepper Seeds (0.25g)
The “Bell” pepper is a mild, early-maturing blocky pepper with large, aromatic fruits. It is particularly well suited to growing under glass or in a polytunnel, where it can achieve its full yield potential. The pleasantly sweet flesh makes this pepper versatile—whether eaten raw, stuffed, grilled, or used in warm vegetable dishes. Sow from March to April in seed trays. Warm soil and air temperatures are required for rapid germination in 8–14 days at 20–26°C.
Once the cotyledons have unfolded, transplant the young plants individually into 8 cm pots. From mid-May, they can be planted out in a sheltered, sunny location with nutrient-rich soil. A spacing of 40x50cm ensures good development. The air temperature should remain above 16°C, as fruit will not set otherwise. Regularly harvesting the green fruits encourages the plant to produce more peppers and extends the harvest period.
