The “Fuego” pepper is a fiery red, hot spice pepper with an intense aroma that can be used in a variety of ways in the kitchen. The fruits are excellent for seasoning both fresh and dried, adding a spicy note to sauces, marinades, and numerous dishes. With its robust flavor, this variety is ideal for anyone who enjoys cooking with hot ingredients. Sow from March to April in a tray indoors; a warm location is essential. Germination takes 8–14 days at 25–30°C.

Once the cotyledons have unfolded, transplant the young plants individually into 8 cm pots. From mid-May, the pepper can be grown outdoors or in pots. A planting distance of 60x40cm gives the plants sufficient room to develop well. Once established, an application of complete fertilizer supports growth, while covering the soil with mulch or black film can encourage earlier ripening. It can also be grown under glass or in a polytunnel.
