Mauser Windsor Broad Bean Seeds (70g)
Windsor broad beans are a versatile variety suitable for harvesting both young and fully mature beans. The still-soft beans are excellent for delicate salads, while the fully mature, firm beans are ideal for hearty soups and other hot dishes. With its many uses, Windsor is a valuable addition to the home garden.
Sow directly outdoors from March to April. For successful germination, the soil temperature should be above 4°C; under optimal conditions, the seeds germinate within 8–10 days. Earthing up the plants is recommended after 2–3 weeks. Applying a little vegetable fertilizer before sowing supports healthy growth. With a row spacing of 50 cm and a seed spacing of 15–20 cm, this variety develops reliably.
