Mauser Seeds Watermelon Rubin (1g)

Mauser Rubin Watermelon Seeds (1g)

The "Rubin" watermelon is an excellent choice for growing in the garden and reliably ripens even in cooler regions. This variety produces juicy fruits with intensely red flesh and provides refreshing enjoyment in summer. Thanks to its early development, it is particularly well suited to growing under protected conditions. Sow in pots or directly outdoors or in a hotbed from mid to late May. Germination takes 6–10 days at 20–28°C.

The heat-loving "Rubin" watermelon prefers a sheltered, warm location outdoors, in a hotbed, or in a tunnel. From mid-May, plant the seedlings 50x50cm apart. Before planting, work in some vegetable fertilizer to encourage vigorous growth. Covering the soil with black plastic supports an earlier harvest and keeps the fruits clean. With its juicy flesh and good adaptability, this watermelon is an attractive variety for the home garden.
