The difference between industrially produced vitamin C and natural vitamin C from acerola cherry

The main difference to synthetically produced ascorbic acid arises from the so-called "matrix": In fruits such as the acerola berry, natural vitamin C is provided together with other secondary plant compounds. These compounds can influence the effect of the vitamin in the body. These accompanying substances (e.g., bioflavonoids) can enhance the antioxidant effect or protect vitamin C from oxidation. Synthetic ascorbic acid is fundamentally isolated and does not contain these natural co-factors. Synthetic ascorbic acid oxidizes relatively quickly and thus loses effectiveness. To increase shelf life, stabilizers often have to be added, which is not necessary with our Sana C200.

Recommended dosage

Maintenance dose for everyone: 1 capsule per day (200 mg vitamin C)

In cases of special need (pregnancy and lactation, growing adolescents, smokers, exam and other stress, etc.), the dosage can be increased to a maximum of 3 capsules per day.
