12 ready-to-use hemostatic bandages (2 different sizes) with a calcium alginate wound pad, for treating bleeding from everyday, minor injuries. Stop Hémo is:

• hemostatic: Introducing calcium into the wound helps accelerate the clotting process and thus quickly stop the bleeding
• Wound-healing: Calcium helps stimulate the key cells involved in scar formation
• Soothing: Upon contact with the wound, the fibers gel to maintain a moist environment around the wound. This helps reduce the sensation of pain.

Stop Hémo is effective in patients with bleeding disorders that are either congenital or caused by certain treatments (antiplatelet agents, vitamin K antagonists, heparin). Stop Hémo can be used in children, pregnant women, and adults.

Application

Clean the wound with soap and water or with physiological saline solution (0.9% NaCl). Apply a Stop Hémo bandage. After removing the Stop Hémo bandage, any remaining fibers will come off on their own over time.

Notes

Stop Hémo bandages must not be used with alkaline solutions such as sodium hypochlorite solutions or solutions containing chlorhexidine, benzalkonium chloride, or copper salts. If such products are used on the wound, first rinse thoroughly with a 0.9% NaCl solution before applying the Stop Hémo bandage. For single use only. Do not reuse due to the risk of microbial contamination and loss of effectiveness.
