The white, smooth cream is free of hormones (estrogens) and can therefore be used alongside hormone replacement therapy or alternated with vaginal creams or suppositories containing hormones (estrogens). Thanks to the addition of lactic acid, the cream is formulated to have a pH of 4.5—this helps Vagisan Moisturizing Cream maintain the vagina’s natural pH balance. Regular use of Vagisan Moisturizing Cream can help prevent irritation and inflammation in the vagina and external genital area caused by dryness. Vagisan Moisturizing Cream can be used before sexual intercourse. The cream does not affect sperm motility and can therefore also be used when trying to conceive.

Application

Vagisan Moisturizing Cream is suitable for use in the vagina (using the applicator) and on the external genital area. For vaginal use, insert half a full applicator of the cream into the vagina, preferably before bedtime. Use daily. Once symptoms have improved, the frequency of use may be reduced as needed. It is recommended to wear a panty liner during use. For care of the external genital area and the vaginal opening, Vagisan Moisturizing Cream can be applied directly several times a day as needed. It may be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. In cases of vaginal dryness, Vagisan Moisturizing Cream may also be used before sexual intercourse as needed.
