VICRYL RAPIDE is a synthetic, absorbable suture material with a polyfil structure and coated surface. In addition, the Fahas a short resorption time. It is used for skin closures, in gynecology (e.g. episiotomies), urology (e.g. circumcisions), ophthalmology (e.g. conjunctival sutures), oral and maxillofacial surgery (e.g. mucosal sutures). The Faden has already lost 50% of its initial tensile strength after five days. The complete loss of tearing force has occurred after 12 days. Material resorption, on the other hand, is complete after 35-42 days.
